In order to make this process as success, a separate business department of business is assigned that is known as the supply chain management. This department works just like other departments of the business but has everything to do relate with the production department of the business.

There are 5 different stages in supply chain management:

  1. Plan– the strategies are the most important because it is the framework of the product details. It is done by the supply managers so it is the first step of the procedure.
  2. Develop– a strong bond needs to be acquired with the dealer giving the raw materials which is does by the supply managers effortlessly. This helps in varying the price of the raw materials and the delivery of it too.

iii. Make – the product finally reaches the stage of production and is done proficiently to match its standards.

  1. Deliver– the clients are made happy by delivering the products with the highest of standards which enlightens the brand name of the company and the client also comes back with a greater mass.
  2. Return– Client/customer would return the good or product back to the company if it fails to meet certain quality control criteria. The origination gets in touch with the customer to record and keep a track of his/her complaints so that the company’s SCM and Complaint center department together deals with the issue and get it sorted out as quickly as possible. Guarantees and product warranties are then sued by the customer to either regain a new product or get the existing one repaired free of cost.

The above 5 stages might seem smooth to handle but take consistent dose of time, effort and planning in order to get the business running. This entire 5 stage process involves a lot of planning, execution and regular monitoring of the production process in order to get high quality finished goods to the customer/client.

The importance of this management team is as important as the goodwill of the company. A company strikes its brand name by its finished products that reach the customers in desired time. Hence, the customers revert back to the company with more positive outlook and this helps the company to grow further and get a hold of more customers.
